Prayer: Liturgy – read by woman volunteer

“I pray for faith. I pray for faith to take that first step … or the one hundredth step. I pray for wisdom. Wisdom to know what to do. Wisdom to know what you want from me. Wisdom to make the right choice. I pray for guidance to know what to do. I pray for your voice to guide me in the right direction. I pray for strength to follow your guidance. I pray for strength to make that difficult, or easy decision. I pray for the combined courage of all the beautiful women who have gone before me. I pray that I can muster up a portion of their strength, courage, tenacity, and boldness for myself. As the sun rises, displaying a myriad of colors over the ocean, fields, buildings, and streets, I pray that I can stop and soak it in. I pray to have the faith to display my scarlet cord boldly. To shout to the world that I believe in You. That I believe in Your love, mercy, grace, forgiveness, and redemption. That even when all seems like a lost chaotic mess, I will declare that I choose to follow You. I pray for faith.”
